New coping strategies book written by an autistic woman for autistic people! Deferred Sunlight: Illuminating Ways Through The Darker Times

A service user at the Autism Initiatives Highland One Stop Shop based at Albion House in Inverness has published a book of coping strategies based on her life experience as an autistic person. Written under the pen-name “Katherine Highland”, this book is intended to help other autistic adults and also to raise funds for the one stop shop; over £2 from each Kindle copy bought on Amazon or paperback copy bought on the printers’ website Lulu will go to support the Highland-wide work of this vital service.

Topics covered in this book include: general coping strategies; travelling; working; redundancy; moving house; going to meetings and appointments; dealing with feelings and emotions; claiming benefits; supporting someone else.

There is also a paperback version available on Amazon; sales of the paperback on Amazon will raise approximately 70p each for the one stop shop. The price of the Kindle version is £3.99; the paperback is £6.99 plus postage and packing. Amazon third party seller prices vary.

Copies of the paperback will be available at Albion House and at various autism related open events in the Highlands for a suggested donation of £5.
